Everything is connected

Artist Shelley Hocknell Zentner works on a commissioned mural about the food ecosystem called "The Metastases."

I just love this little film (scroll down) featuring my "soul sister," artist Shelley Hocknell Zentner of South Lake Tahoe. Although we are not sisters in the genetic sense, Shelley and I share a birthday and have one of those deep mystical connections that defies easy description.

Shelley's brother Sean Parry of north Wales -- a talented artist in his own right -- made this video and also composed the music. It is a lovely little meditation that explores the seamlessness of yoga, art, and Presence in the moment.

Meanwhile, as of this writing Shelley is in third place in Yoga Journal's "Yoga Warrior" Competition. She is a battle-toughened yogi who has overcome considerable life challenges in her practice; if anyone deserves the "warrior" label, it's Shelley!
